Jonas Gideon was born in Gothenburg but moved to Stockholm when he was 9 months old. He started playing the piano as a child and wrote his first songs while in high school. Jonas discovered his musical role models through his parent’s record collection, especially the Elton John albums, who became a major influence. He has also been influenced by many other artists such as Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Sting, Ray Charles, and Benny Andersson.
Jonas attended the Stockholm Music Conservatory and that is where he started his singing career. He played in cover bands with many other musicians and decided to study to be a voice teacher at the Stockholm Music Education Institute.
During this period, and the following years, Jonas worked with Swedish artists such as Molly Sandén, Jennifer Brown, Sonja Aldén, Magnus Carlsson, Janne Schaffer, Linda Bengtzing, Anna Bergendahl, Victor Norén, Gladys del Pilar and many others.
On Jonas debut album ”Always another day” (2015), he collaborated with songwriter Brian Hobbs.
”ALWAYS ANOTHER DAY is one of the most honest and appealing debuts I’ve heard in this genre for a long, long time.” (Inside MusiCast review).
2018 he released the duet “Holding on to letting go” with Swedish artist Anna Christofferson.
When Brian Hobbs tragically passed away in 2018 Jonas started a collaboration with lyricist Pelle Arhio. First single “SILVER” was released February 2021 and second and third single “Som” and “Sista Solsken” released april 2021.
